Extracts from CHLADNI and STONEHOUSE generate - with the help of the software MetaSynth sounds who let the source material light up gently or sometimes only divine it, quasi place their shadows in a new way. The chosen sounds from the pieces mentioned above get changed by images. One can paint or draw the music: Every line, every circle, each colour touches and changes the »original« and refers to appropriate musical lines, circles, colours respectively timbre, rythme, harmony, melodics. The dynamic results from the density of informations.
My interest was to shape the »sense« of sound in a way that it becomes »transparent«, and pervious in the sense that it amalgamates its predecessors, that is to say, CHLADNI and STONEHOUSE, and creates an independent variation which in case you dose the graphic parameters delicately is definitely still compatible with the character of the respective »original«.
So, initially not intended, the three cds in question form a trilogy.
I just like the image: a sense or the sense freely roaming through the water, like fish - you can see it on the blue cover. Sense like a flow itself, as if it could weightlessly wander around in water, saunter almost.
